Ninja Marketing for Writers: Create Your Own Video Book Trailer

Go beyond blogs and Amazon reviews and create your own video book trailer.  This workshop is for those at ease with technology as well as complete technophobes.

Broken down into simple steps, you’ll learn what is hot (and what’s not),  where to source voice-overs and how to avoid the critical mistakes seen in most book trailers.

In 90 minutes we’ll create, upload and promote a video book trailer and you’ll walk away with all the steps and tools necessary to create your own.

We’ll also look at tips to help your video be found and brainstorm ideas for how your project can go viral.
One of Kate Fowler’s first ‘published’ stories was a mimeograph produced by her grade eight teacher and read annually to future classes until Mrs. Underwood’s retirement. From that rather dubious start, Kate’s career has revolved around words and promotion, from books to ministerial speeches, playwriting and poetry to media promotion and marketing, and everything in between.

Kate has been using the Internet since the early 90′s and has developed a reputation for de-mystifying technology. She claims the marriage of writing, technology and marketing puts the control of a writer’s career where it belongs – in the hands of the writer.
